Uni8 Settings/Setup Discussion Tread

yes, the amount of IPM you can house now is rediculously low compared to the def somone could build xD

But just keep def on 10%, the problem is someone can always build rocket launchers and he will be safe, nothing can get through rocket launchers + bahamut. the def is already way to op so at least let people have some profit from it.

Hi all,
i`m the new guy here.

Ogame has peed in my wheaties for the last time. I`m looking for some new thrills. But OMG this game is insane numbers. Gonna take some getting used to. I`m sure i know at least some of you from Ogame by the sounds of things. Any little pointers would be helpful and appreciated.
I`m currently building an account in Uni 3. Is that a good place to try and learn the ropes? Sounds like what? uni 8 is newest version?

@islandwoodsie uni 3 might not be the best, uni 7 is the newest uni and thus the most active so it might be the most fun to start there, uni 8 will come out in december.

uni 3 has a bank which means people that have played there from the start have insane amount of resources, people that start only now have virtually no chance there.

Can't we do it 1 week sooner this waiting is killing me xD still 2 more weeks!!

Can't you make the asteroids stronger? like there are 1.000.000 missiles needed for 1 asteroid, or something

@CAD BANE that's cute and all, but with 40 planets and 40 moons and only about 35 planets to add to your missile network it will stop being fun very very quickly.

Have to agree, dont see the reason to remove it. Its pretty much the only "real" way to obtain DM. Removing it will make it even more pay to win which in my opinion is bad. You can however work around this problem by buffing the exploration mission rewards heavly to compensate the removal of the AST system. Couse be honest, the rewards from those missions are pretty useless to begin with.

Also a side note as ghozal said, improving the asteroid system so it only "ATTACK" active players. By that i mean so it doesn't effect players that have an inactive status on them. This will make the Uni more alive since the asteroid themself doesn't destroy peoples Planets and Moons. which in turn dont turn inactive players total useless as targets as such. Couse afterall, there is only a limited amount of players.


Anyways just some thoughts..

@Alpha inactive players will not have building levels destroyed, that's already taken care of.

just building a higher missle silo won't work, you will always have to check your rockets every time.
And if people would just vote there's more than enough DM to get from that.

All you people want free DM but the fact is this game needs to survive so if you really want DM that badly, BUY IT.

@Vinny if people want free DM, asteroids is one of the best ways to get it. As you said, asteroids are there only if you are active. The more active you are, the more asteroids, the more DM. Active players keep this game alive. This together with voters.

I'm not saying that we should make it easy to get free DM, but don't abandon it either. More asteroids per attack give more DM which is not optimal because it would be too much and no one is buying it anymore. When you get stronger asteroids the DM reward would be the same.

And I think you are lazy that you don't want to check your missiles "every time". It's part of the game, this is not a kindergarden.

Its not hard to check your planet every now and again. Depending on the scale of things, just set it up so you can have like eough missiles for a "x-amount" of "waves" to a point where its not to much but not to little.

And about the DM Vinny, not everyone can afford buying DM. And since DM is a big "PAY TO WIN" thing, it does have a huge impact. And now you're cuting of a main source for those who cannot afford it putting them even futher behind those who pay. And you cant say 1,5k DM each day for Vote is eough for most DM related stuff ingame, when like the cheapest stuff whould take you weeks to gather provided you're online each day.

And if the system is to painful, just buff up the exploration mission outcome to the same standard if not better to replace it. Couse its gonna be impossible for any "no buyer" player to keep up with those who have..
